Courtesy Clerk
General Purpose of Position:
Working with the sales personnel as part of a team, the Courtesy Clerk is responsible for assisting customers and general store maintenance and appearance. Responsibilities include customer service and duties as assigned by the store manager.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Load merchandise into customer's vehicles.
- Stock shelves when merchandise arrives.
- Return misplaced items to proper location.
- Collect shopping carts from the parking lot.
- Sweep floors.
- Clean bathrooms.
- Assist customers with inquiries regarding location of merchandise and pricing.
- Any other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Available to work a part-time schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
- Ability to lift 80 pounds.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to provide outstanding customer service.
- Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, understandable manner, and listen attentively to customers and associates.
- Ability to operate equipment necessary to perform job duties.
- Ability to multitask.
- Friendly, positive attitude.
