If this sounds like a culture you would like to work in, you’re invited to apply for this role.Fluor is a leading government contractor with a proven track record of delivering high‑value technical solutions around the world to U.S. government agencies such as the DOE, NNSA, the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community.Job DescriptionThe Senior Project Controls Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing complex integrated project schedules for a major nuclear EPC project. This role supports project execution through detailed planning, progress measurement, forecasting, and schedule risk analysis. The position works closely with engineering, procurement, construction, and project management teams to ensure alignment with project milestones, regulatory requirements, and client expectations. Acting as a key resource on a project team, the role will require collaboration at all levles, including: client representatives, Fluor management and functional leads. Develop and maintain detailed Level 3 and Level 4 EPC schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalentIntegrate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover activities into a fully resource-loaded scheduleLead schedule development workshops with cross-functional teamsPerform critical path analysis and identify schedule risks and mitigation strategiesMonitor project progress and validate updates from discipline leadsPrepare schedule forecasts, look-ahead plans, and recovery plans when requiredConduct schedule risk analysis and support probabilistic schedule assessmentsEnsure compliance with nuclear quality and regulatory standards in planning processesInterface with project controls, cost, and risk management functions to ensure alignmentSupport client reporting requirements, including schedule narratives and variance analysisParticipate in audits and reviews related to project controls and schedulingMentor junior planners and contribute to continuous improvement initiativesBasic Job RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredA minimum of 15 years of project planning and scheduling nuclear project experience in the EPC industry. Demonstrated experience supporting large-scale capital projectsStrong proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling softwareStrong understanding of critical path method scheduling techniquesAbility to analyze complex schedule data and communicate findings clearlyExperience working in a multi-discipline project environmentOther Job Requirements• Participate in the development and implementation of training courses and mentoring of Project Controls personnel • Support and actively participate in Fluor Project Controls Global Initiatives Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related fieldPrior experience supporting nuclear projects such as new build, SMR, or major nuclear outagesKnowledge of nuclear regulatory environments and quality requirementsExperience with resource loading, earned value management, and progress measurement systemsFamiliarity with risk analysis tools such as Primavera Risk Analysis or Safran RiskExperience in EPC contractor environment, preferably on large mega-projectsStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsWe are an equal opportunity employer.
