Azure DevOps Engineer

This is a Contract position. Remote for now but is expected to go onsite from January 2022. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate.Are you the next Azure DevOps Engineer we are looking for?You will be responsible for collaborating with internal stakeholders, including software development teams and other information technology resources to support business processes/ production systems and provide operational efficiency using industry-standard technologies.You will work collaboratively with IT and software engineering teams to deploy and operate our systems/platforms and support client utilization. This will include helping to automate and streamline our operations and processes and building and maintaining tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations.You will troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test, and production environments.In this role you'll:Provide operational support for the Cloud environment (specifically Azure), with a special focus on Network Architecture and support but with cross-training for storage, compute, Operating systems (Windows, Red Hat), and application servicesRecommend, develop and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, configuration management, and securityProvide support for incidents and end-user requests for services.Responsible for analyzing network and system performance and evaluating new tools and systemsGenerate detailed technical notes and propagate the internal knowledge-base with information, including developing notes and operating procedures for activities including system monitoring, performance tuning, backup/recovery, server architecture design, and system maintenanceTest new releases to ensure compatibility to minimize impact and downtimeManage and enhance build and continuous integration infrastructure; support infrastructure for development teams and enhance tools for development workflowsAdvanced ability to craft clear and concise documentationBasic Qualifications / Skills:Education: 4-year University degree in Computer Sciences, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience.Minimum 2-5 years of work experience in customer success, resident engineer, network engineer, or similar rolesSolid understanding of Networking, Routing, BGP, IPSec VPN, vLAN/vNET, Virtualization, Linux, and infrastructure softwareExperience in configuring, testing, and troubleshooting various networking products/solutions (e.g PaloAlto Firewalls, CISCO ASA, Juniper Routing/switching, and Arista for switching.Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic environmentAvailability to provide after-hours support on a scheduled/non-scheduled basisExperience in microservices and containerizes technologies (DOCKER, Kubernetes etc) and their deployment is a benefitPython, Ansible, Terraform, ASR AutomationJ-18808-Ljbffr
