Join us in our mission to improve health and improve lives.Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at our PSC in Petersburg, VA.Work Schedule: hours vary 7:15am - 5:00pm Mon - Fri with OT as business needs demand and rotating SaturdaysJob Responsibilities:Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groupsCollect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely mannerProcess billing information and collect payments when requiredPrepare all collected specimens for testing and analysisMaintain patient and specimen information logsProvide superior customer service to all patientsAdministrative and clerical duties as necessaryOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:· High school diploma or GED or equivalent· Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomistPreferred Qualifications:· 1 year or more of phlebotomy experienceAdditional Job Standards:· In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency· Able to pass a standardized color blindness test· Flexibility to work overtime as needed· Exceptional customer service· Strong communication skills; both written and verbal· Ability to work independently or in a team environment· Comfortable working under minimal supervision· Travel to additional sites when needed, reliable transportationAt Labcorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided with opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.PST's may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics**Pay Range: $17.75 - $27.69 per hourAll job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
