Human Resources Manager

Our client, a well-established and growing manufacturing organization, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead all aspects of site HR. This individual will serve as a trusted business partner to plant leadership while overseeing the full employee lifecycle, employee relations, talent acquisition, compliance, payroll administration, workers' compensation, leave management, and employee engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, development, and offboarding.
• Partner closely with operations leadership to support workforce planning, organizational development, succession planning, and employee engagement.
• Advise leaders on employee relations matters, performance management, investigations, conflict resolution, and employment law.
• Oversee payroll administration to ensure accurate and timely processing.
• Manage workers' compensation programs, return-to-work efforts, and leave administration, including FMLA, ADA, and related programs.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and California employment laws.
• Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Support recruiting efforts from sourcing through onboarding.
• Champion employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, training, and culture-building activities.
• Maintain HR records, reporting, and HRIS data integrity.
• Partner with Environmental Health & Safety to support workplace safety initiatives.
• Collaborate with corporate HR on strategic initiatives and company-wide programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience within manufacturing or an industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of California employment law, including wage and hour regulations, FMLA, ADA, and workers' compensation.
• Experience supporting payroll administration and HRIS systems.
• Strong employee relations and coaching experience.
• Ability to partner effectively with operations leaders and build credibility across all levels of the organization.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
