Medical Support Assistant (Advanced)

Advanced Medical Support AssistantAt the GS-6 level, the Advanced MSA provides specialized administrative support and independently manages a variety of complex tasks. Responsibilities include coordinating advanced scheduling functions, resolving complicated scheduling conflicts, monitoring clinic flow, verifying insurance using the Insurance Capture Buffer (ICB), obtaining and interpreting detailed patient information, coordinating interdisciplinary care activities, preparing reports, managing data integrity, and supporting providers with advanced clerical operations. The Advanced MSA may mentor GS-3 through GS-5 MSAs, assist with training, and provide guidance on proper procedures.Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pmTelework: Not availableVirtual: This is not a virtual position.Functional Statement #: 000000Relocation/Recruitment Incentives: Not authorizedPermanent Change of Station (PCS): Not authorized
