Lead Line Cook

Lead Line Cook will manage the preparation and execution of all items on the menu. It is expected to have full knowledge of all ingredients, recipes and proper plating. As lead line cook, you must also effectively communicate with fellow kitchen staff and the front of house to optimally organize the flow of orders going in and out of the kitchen. Efficiency is key, and lead line cook is required to utilize time management to ensure proper ticket times while maintaining quality control of all dishes. At Story Tavern we work hard as team to guarantee success. We strive for upward mobility within the company; and as lead prep cook there will be room to improve overall skillsets and managerial duties. Compensation will be increased when more duties are taken on, and management skills have improved. Job Duties Setting up and sanitizing work stations: including dish pit and washing dishes Following prep lists Preparing all dishes on menu. Knowledge of cooking with fryers, flat top, oven, stove top, cold line & expo station Ensuring all food items are properly stored and easily accessible. Assisting chefs in preparing food and attending to any culinary tasks that arise. Distributing plates to wait staff to be served, cleaning plates for dish washing, and preparing take away packages for customers. Supervising food and cooling room temperatures. Accepting or rejecting ingredients from suppliers. Maintaining a clean, orderly, and sanitized kitchen. #J-18808-Ljbffr
