Observes all rules and regulations of Primrose School and regulatory agencies related to health, safety and care of children. Assesses each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis. Implements approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum and programming. Plans parent‑teacher conferences and student evaluations with the Leadership Team. Maintains an attractive, well‑kept classroom that encourages creative exploration. Provides verbal recognition and consistent expectations for children's behavior. Maintains classroom, common areas and playground housekeeping duties. Attends required staff meetings, workshops and school functions. Maintains a professional personal appearance following the employee handbook guidelines. Assists in additional duties as directed by the Director or designee. Location: 14950 Mesa Dr, Humble Texas, 77396. Desired Skills and Experience Meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency. Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred. Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. for child handling and emergency situations. Infant - Preschool Teachers: 2‑year degree in early childhood or related field preferred. Pre‑Kindergarten Teachers: 4‑year degree in early childhood required. Kindergarten Teacher: 4‑year degree in early childhood and state certification required.
