Position Summary and Requirements

Registered Nurses are responsible for delivering and coordinating patient care. This role involves collaborating with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to provide both physical and emotional support to patients and their families. Daily tasks include, but are not limited to, conducting assessments, creating personalized care plans, administering medications, maintaining documentation, educating patients, ensuring proper equipment maintenance, and communicating patient needs effectively.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Monitoring, documenting, and reporting any changes in patients' conditions while keeping precise and thorough records.
  • Ordering, interpreting, and evaluating diagnostic tests to assess and identify patient conditions.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of human growth and development, assessment techniques, treatment options, and care tailored to the age groups of patients served.
  • Promoting customer service initiatives within the hospital.
  • Applying the nursing process to provide individualized care that meets patient needs.
  • Exhibiting proficiency in performing technical skills and procedures.
Qualifications Needed:
  • Current RN licensure from the TN Board of Nursing or a compact state Board of Nursing.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications within one year of employment.
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification within six months of employment.
