What a day looks like

Sunrise at a utility ground-mount solar site. You review the SOPs, stage tools, and don your PPE—helmet, cut-proof gloves, safety shoes, and snake gaiters. With the Honda 2200W generator humming and the solder station warmed up, you get to work on de-energized arrays (~40–50 VDC), focusing on precise backsheet and string connector repairs, including cold soldering. You run reliability tests, verify results, document every step, and hand off a clean report before heading to the next site.

Join our nationwide field repair team to perform technical rework on utility-scale ground-mount systems while upholding strict safety and quality standards.

• Follow detailed SOPs to execute backsheet and string connector rework, including cold soldering.
• Set up and maintain work areas for efficient operations at each site.
• Conduct reliability testing and confirm completed repairs.
• Work primarily at ground level, with short ladder access (approx. 10’–12’) as needed.
• Perform all tasks only on de-energized systems with low voltage exposure (~40–50 VDC).
• Document activities thoroughly and produce clear repair reports.

• Hook and pick tools, flat screwdrivers, putty knives, soldering irons, cutters
• Honda 2200W generators, voltage transformers, solder stations
• Materials such as solder tin wire, silicone glue for PV modules, and repair tapes

• Strict adherence to company safety procedures and SOPs
• Use of PPE including helmets, cut-proof gloves, safety shoes, and snake gaiters
• Understanding of de-energizing and re-energizing processes across different site designs

Pay: $30 / Hour

Travel and Accommodations are covered by the employer

This is a 100% travel role; you must be available to travel for a full year.

• High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational training in electrical or solar preferred.
• Experience with solar/electrical repair or related technical work is advantageous.
• Comfort with field-repair tools and materials aligned to our SOPs.
• Basic knowledge of electrical safety and troubleshooting.
• Physically able to work at ground level and occasionally use short ladders.
• Valid driver’s license; able to operate company-provided or rental vehicles.
• Willing to travel frequently and stay overnight as needed.
• Strong English proficiency preferred for clear safety and job communication.

• 95%+ of work on utility ground-mount systems at ground level
• Minimal rooftop work
• Outdoor environments with varying weather
• Hands-on tasks requiring frequent tool use and mobility around field sites
