Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Design of custom air pollution abatement equipment. Create project design drawings for direct fired, recuperative, regenerative thermal and catalytic oxidizers; including major components for fabrication & installation. This includes conceptual design, heat & material balance calculations, control logic, equipment sizing and specifications as required for successful project execution. Analyze manufacturing process data and make calculations to develop process flow diagrams. Implement waste heat recovery from process operations such as boilers, ovens, dryers, etc. Design ducting and hoods for air pollution collection systems. Develop and maintain engineering procedures and technical standards. Develop and qualify equipment suppliers for key components. Monitor technical performance of qualified suppliers and implement corrective actions. Support manufacturing, sub-contractors, and suppliers to ensure on time delivery of high quality equipment while maintaining safety practices in all phases of a project. Travel to customer facilities to with review project requirements and meet with subcontractors. Gather pertinent facility operational data and take measurements for development of project scope #J-18808-Ljbffr Ship & Shore Environmental, Inc.
