Composites Prototyper/Carbon Fiber TechnicianLocation: Beaverton, Oregon (On-site Monday-Friday)Role OverviewOur organization is seeking a Composites Prototyper/Carbon Fiber Technician to support process development related to footwear composites. This role is a part of the Footwear team, which is focused on scaling a new technology. The position requires interaction with global partners, necessitating some flexibility in the work schedule for occasional evening or early morning calls.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport process development for footwear composites.Engage in composites manufacturing tasks.Utilize CAD skills for design and development.Handle epoxies and other materials safely and effectively.Collaborate with the Footwear Innovation team and global partners.Maintain clear communication, presentation, and documentation.Required QualificationsExperience: A minimum of 3+ years of experience in either a manufacturing or materials development role is required. Experience related to footwear, specifically with carbon fiber, glass fiber, or composite materials, is highly preferred.Technical Skills: Candidates must have composites manufacturing experience and CAD skills. A strong knowledge of how to handle epoxies is essential.Additional Skills: The role requires good communication, presentation, and documentation skills, along with a team-player mindset.
