Position: Courier Reference ID: 260529-50025177 Job Description Purpose of Position: Provide a high level of customer/client service, delivering reports, specimens, supplies and correspondence to and from client offices and transporting biohazardous waste. Major Functions / Tasks Client/customer service Deliver lab reports and other correspondence Transport lab specimens Transport hazardous waste Deliver supplies Run errands Make bank and postal runs Deliver mail to entities within the corporation Organize and deliver lab reports, correspondence and supplies to CICSS clients and within CCHC Laboratories Transport laboratory specimens from client offices, satellites of CICSS, and hospitals to appropriate destinations Act as a customer relations person on behalf of CICSS in client offices, relaying concerns to supervisory personnel Maintain courteous conduct at all times as an agent of CICSS while driving Transport hazardous waste from client offices and CICSS sites to CCHC Laboratories for transfer to incineration site Run business errands as necessary (hardware store, office supply store, bank deposits, postal runs, etc.) Perform other related duties as directed by management Work in tandem as a member of the CICSS team to deliver excellent services Consistently provide service excellence to patients, family members, visitors, volunteers and co-workers in a manner reflecting CLAB’S commitment to CARES: compassion, accountability, respect, excellence and service Qualifications Must be able to lift 35 lbs. Valid U.S. Driver’s License upon hire Must obtain a Massachusetts-specific Driver’s License within 60 days of hire Acceptable driving record per MVR criteria obtained as a precondition to begin employment Successfully complete CLAB’S Driver Safety Training Program at least once every two years Note: Routes currently requiring personal vehicles may be accommodated with company vehicles in the future. Schedule Details 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., occasional weekends and holidays Location Massachusetts – Hyannis Compensation The pay range displayed on each job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set, and education. This is not inclusive of the value of Cape Cod Healthcare’s benefits package (if applicable), which includes among other benefits, healthcare/dental/vision and retirement.
