Position Title Physician – Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health, Clinical Addiction Psychiatrist (Open Rank/Track Faculty) Position Overview The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a clinical addiction psychiatrist to join the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health. The candidate will lead an inpatient dual diagnosis service with opportunities for partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient services. The role supports clinical care, education, and research within interdisciplinary programs. Duties and Responsibilities Provide patient care in accordance with OSUWMC policies, procedures, and protocols; practice within the established medical center and adhere to key results areas. Apply DSM‑5 and ICD‑10 knowledge to diagnose and treat mental health and substance use disorders. Contribute to education of trainees and faculty; participate in residency and fellowship training. Engage in clinical research and scholarly pursuits. Represent the program and department on committees, conferences, professional meetings, and community speaking engagements. Requirements MD or DO. Successful completion of an accredited psychiatry residency program. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Addiction Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine. Eligible for an Ohio medical license. Shift First Shift Background Check Final candidates are subject to a successful completion of a background check.
