Company INEOS Oligomers Job Title Financial Analyst Location Chocolate Bayou-Alvin/Marina View - League City, USA Closing Date May 4th, 2026 Organizational Context With LAO manufacturing facilities in Canada and Belgium, INEOS Oligomers is a large merchant supplier of Linear Alpha Olefins (LAO). LAO is used in various industries, including comonomers for polyethylene, lubricants feedstock, surfactants, and drilling fluid base stocks. INEOS Oligomers invested $500 million in a new world‑scale LAO & PAO production facility on the INEOS Olefins & Polymers site in Chocolate Bayou, Alvin, Texas. The Financial Analyst reports to the OCB Site Controller. Purpose of the Job The OCB Financial Analyst ensures accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, assists in forecasting, and prepares reports for the Site Controller, Site Leadership, and Oligomers business management. The role requires frequent interaction with site and business contacts, active participation in audit activities, and flexibility for monthly, quarterly, and year‑end book‑close deadlines. Environment / Context Availability and accuracy of information needed for analysis and reporting – work closely with sources to receive information in a timely manner; identify cash needs and correct variances. Working relationships – develop strong relationships with site management; support financial processes including closings, planning/forecasting, cost control, and audits. Ambiguity and/or incompleteness of information – exercise judgement to utilize incomplete data. Automated analysis tools – optimize automation to process and analyze large volumes of information. Competing priorities – prioritize and manage complex requirements, especially during key reporting periods. Responsibilities and Accountabilities Provide support during monthly close to ensure timely site financial results. Record and review accruals, overhead costs, utilities, third‑party service bill‑outs, and variable costs. Posting transactions and monitor operational activity related to capital projects. Assist with consolidation and analysis of the annual site fixed and variable cost budget. Assist with month‑end inventory recordings and mass balance of production and consumption, as well as quarterly physical inventory counts and reconciliations of process materials. Prepare monthly financial reports and perform variance and trend analysis on operating costs, capital spending, and working capital investment. Create, manage, and close capital project structures in SAP. Create assets and process project settlements to assets. Provide support for various government requests and tax reporting packages. Support management interpretation of financial transactions, events, and INEOS policies. Maintain and support INEOS internal control processes including regular review of internal control documents. Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve balance differences; assist with audit requests and annual physical inventory observations. Prepare monthly sales and use‑tax reports and assist with annual compliance reporting. Support and follow Oligomers and CB behavioural and process safety practices. Skills Required – Level of Education & Experience in General Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience. CPA or MBA preferred. Preference given to candidates with financial experience in a manufacturing environment. Superior Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, are required. SAP FI/CO/MM super‑user level knowledge (knowledge of other modules a plus). Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability. Strong organizational and time‑management skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines. Self‑starting individual who can work with minimal direction. Good communication skills; able to discuss and explain financial transactions and processes clearly. Working knowledge of financial internal control processes. Demonstrated record of gaining trust of leadership on sensitive issues. Track record of establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Strong planning and organizing skills; ability to manage several projects simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and innovatively to uncover new opportunities. Successful project team leadership experience with at least small multi‑functional business teams. Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills across all levels. Technical Skills Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Office products – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook required; Access desired. Demonstrated SAP user reporting expertise desired. Behavioral Skills Enjoy working in a close team environment on common goals under normal and stressful conditions. Confident in working closely with leadership on a variety of projects from simple to highly complex strategic levels. Self‑starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision. ADA Physical Requirements, Visual Acuity Requirements, and Environmental Conditions The employee is regularly required to sit and perform tasks with repetitive use of hands, occasional walking and standing. The employee may exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, or negligible force constantly. The employee must see written documents and computer screens and adjust focus; hearing must be normal speaking level.
