Shift: Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Schedule: 11.5 hours/day | 3 days/week | 34.5 hours/week

Pay Rate
Local: $90 - $91/hour
Traveler: $95 - $99/hour

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab RN to provide specialized nursing care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology procedures.

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience.

• 2 years of critical care experience.

• IV insertion and phlebotomy skills.

• Conscious sedation experience.

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program.

• Masters in Education required, as stated in the scheduling notes.

• New York State RN License.

• Primary Source Verification of RN License and Registration through NYSED.

• AHA BLS certification.

• AHA ACLS certification.

• English – Read, Write, Speak.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures.

• Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization and other interventional cardiology procedures.

• Establish and maintain IV access and administer medications as ordered.

• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythm, oxygen saturation, and patient response throughout procedures.

• Administer and monitor conscious sedation under appropriate orders and protocols.

• Assist physicians and the cardiac catheterization team during procedures.

• Monitor patients for complications such as bleeding, arrhythmias, or changes in hemodynamic status.

• Provide post-procedure care, including monitoring access sites and assessing recovery.

• Perform patient education regarding procedures, medications, and post-procedure instructions.

• Accurately document assessments, interventions, medications, and patient responses in the medical record.

• Maintain sterile technique and follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
