What You'll Do As an Electric Motor Mechanic , you'll repair, rebuild, test, and maintain AC/DC electric motors and electro-mechanical equipment used across a variety of industries. You'll work with specialized testing equipment, precision tools, and rotating machinery while helping keep customers' operations running smoothly. Key Responsibilities ? Repair and rebuild AC & DC electric motors and electro-mechanical equipment ? Dynamically balance rotor and armature assemblies ? Replace and repair mechanical components including gears, seals, bearings, and brushes ? Operate specialized testing and repair equipment ? Utilize overhead cranes and medium-voltage test panels ? Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues ? Maintain accurate documentation and job records ? Operate forklifts and follow all safety protocols ? Travel to customer sites as needed ? Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment ? Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency and processes What We're Looking For Preferred: Candidates with basic knowledge of AC/DC electro-mechanical equipment. Required: Strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on experience, and a willingness to learn. Ideal Candidates Will Have: ?? 2+ years of electro-mechanical repair experience preferred ?? Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills ?? Understanding of motor components and basic electrical theory ?? Experience using precision measuring and testing equipment, including: Micrometers Calipers Dial Indicators Surge Testers Megger Testers ?? Self-motivated and dependable work ethic ?? Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship ?? Excellent problem-solving abilities ?? Ability to work independently and as part of a team ??
