Student Radiology Technician Assistant

Requirements

• 2nd year student in an Associate Degree or two-year degree program of a school of Radiologic Technology required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Knowledge of profession’s code of ethics required.
• Knowledge of radiology equipment and testing required.
• Knowledge of safety hazards common to radiology including equipment, body mechanics, and patient movement required.
• Proficient in computerized word processing and knowledge of Hospital Information Systems preferred.

Work Hours

We are seeking a casual Radiology Student Tech Assistant to work on an as needed basis.

Job Summary

The Radiology Student Tech Assistant performs a wide variety of routine duties including clerical, technical, and patient related functions. The Radiology Assistant is responsible for assisting members of the patient care team. The Radiology Student Tech Assistant uses a variety of equipment, computers, and software. The Radiology Student Tech Assistant is able to follow instruction and perform work with minimal supervision. Able to work and interact effectively with others with clear effective oral and written communication. Maintains confidentiality per established hospital policy. .
