Our client in Iowa City, IA is looking for a Route Driver!

Position Summary: Join a leading electrical supply company as a Flatbed Truck Driver, delivering products and materials to customers on a consistent daily route. This role combines safe driving, hands-on loading and unloading, and excellent customer service to ensure materials arrive on time and in great condition. You'll also assist the warehouse team when needed, making this a versatile and important role in keeping operations running smoothly.


Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a 20 ft flatbed truck to deliver electrical products and materials to customers
• Load and unload materials using proper handling equipment when necessary
• Verify delivery orders and obtain customer signatures
• Maintain delivery logs, vehicle inspection reports, and other required documentation
• Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally at all delivery sites
• Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies
• Communicate with dispatch and warehouse staff regarding route progress or issues
• Assist with warehouse duties, such as organizing inventory or preparing outgoing orders, as needed

Qualifications:

• Valid Class D Driver's License with chauffeur's endorsement OR CDL Class A, B, or C
• Clean driving record and ability to meet company insurance requirements
• Previous route delivery or commercial driving experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical tasks related to loading/unloading
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Dependable, punctual, and focused on safety and accuracy
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and pre-trip inspections

Hours:

• Monday - Friday: (7:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
• Saturday: (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM)

Pay:

• $22.00/hour
