Responsibilities: Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate dance classes for youth students of varying skill levels Teach foundational dance techniques across styles such as hip-hop, jazz, contemporary, or other relevant genres Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and confidence Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and encouragement Choreograph routines for recitals, showcases, or special performances Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student development and class updates Maintain a clean, organized, and safe studio space during classes Requirements: Prior experience teaching dance to youth or children in a studio, school, or recreational setting Proficiency in one or more dance styles (hip-hop, jazz, ballet, contemporary, etc.) Strong classroom management skills and ability to engage young students Patient, enthusiastic, and encouraging demeanor with children of all ages and abilities Reliable, punctual, and professional with strong communication skills Background check required About Us: Youth Athletes United - Capital Region is a dynamic fitness and movement company based in Albany, NY, dedicated to making health and wellness fun for all ages.
