Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring at least 1 year of ED travel experience and a VA or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a General Emergency Department treating combined adult and pediatric patients in a non-trauma setting
• Night shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Required to work every other weekend
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Meditech charting system preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license (VA or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIHSS, and PALS (TNCC preferred)
• Minimum of 1 year ED nursing experience required
• Prior ED travel experience required
• Skilled in EKG reading/monitoring, blood product administration, IV therapy, CVA care, and triage
• Meditech charting experience required
• Must be willing to shave for respirator fit testing or provide a pre-approved medical exemption letter

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care to critically ill and injured patients across adult and pediatric populations
• Deliver care using PPE and isolation precautions in a fast-paced ED environment
• Work alongside specially-trained emergency physicians and nurses
• General RN orientation occurs every other Monday
• Zero-tolerance drug policy in place; medical marijuana cards not accepted
• Drug screening required during compliance and again on first day onsite
• Candidates who previously worked in a permanent role at the facility within the past 24 months will not be considered
• Local candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
• RTO must be disclosed prior to starting the assignment and may be limited based on number of holidays falling within the contract period
