Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A home infusion pharmacy in need of an experienced Pharmacist in Charge with active licenses in both New Jersey and California. This full-time contract role offers a 12-week opportunity to oversee pharmacy operations, compliance, and staff development in a well-staffed environment.
Location:
- Clifton, NJ (Local candidates only)
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- No on-call required
- 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee compliance with sterile and hazardous drug compounding standards
- Ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws, Board of Pharmacy regulations, and DEA requirements
- Manage and support a team of 7 Technicians, 4 Pharmacists, Director of Pharmacy, and Pharmacy Coordinator
- Review and approve patient care plans focusing on therapy appropriateness, dosing, and medication compatibility
- Lead staff development, training, and performance management initiatives
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacist licenses for New Jersey and California
- Previous experience as a Pharmacist in Charge or similar management role
- Experience verifying sterile medications
- IV compounding experience preferred but not mandatory
- Strong understanding of pharmacy regulatory environment
Experience with sterile compounding is a significant advantage but not required, providing an excellent opportunity for candidates ready to lead in a home infusion setting.
