POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Quality Manager - Federal , your roles and responsibilities will include:

• Manage and coordinate construction quality support across assigned projects and teams.
• Develop project-specific Quality Plans and Water Intrusion Plans, assign accountability, and ensure plans remain current.
• Ensure project quality status reporting is accurate and maintained for project reviews.
• Interpret company, owner, and government quality requirements and communicate expectations to project teams.
• Provide oversight of project-specific quality plans and perform QA constructability reviews.
• Conduct field observations, document compliant and non-compliant conditions, and monitor corrective actions through resolution.
• Utilize quality assurance systems and tools to prepare reports for superintendents, project managers, and subcontractors.
• Conduct warranty investigations and recommend corrective actions.
• Review and certify project submittals when required.
• Support quality-related training and communicate quality standards, trends, and issues.
• Serve as an onsite quality representative across one or multiple projects as needed.
• Partner with project teams to evaluate subcontractor quality performance.
• Build strong relationships with owners, subcontractors, manufacturers, consultants, and internal project teams.
• Mentor and provide guidance to other team members.
• Travel extensively and work non-traditional hours when required to support project needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Quality Manager who enjoys their work and is considered to be one of the best within their organization. The ideal Quality Manager would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:

• 8+ years of construction quality-related experience.
• 0-2 years of mentoring or team leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• Advanced ability to read construction drawings, specifications, building codes, and technical product/material information.
• Advanced knowledge of material and field testing for quality assurance processes.
• Strong knowledge of QA procedures across a variety of construction conditions.
• Ability to identify non-compliant conditions and develop or investigate corrective measures.
• Working knowledge of construction trades and scopes of work.
• Experience providing performance feedback and completing evaluations.
• Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building, and collaboration skills.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work non-traditional hours as required.
