The Norridge location of NSI is a progressive manufacturer of die castings that has been in business for 60+ years, and we look forward to having you join our team! Please note, this is a full-time, 1st shift position (7am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday).General Summary: Accountable for the construction and repair of molds per customer and company requirements.Responsibilities:Examine tool/piece part drawing and determine sequence of operations necessary for construction of moldConstruct mold to customer specificationsNotify Tool Room Manager when mold needs to be sent out for heat treating, wire burning, jig-grinding, polishing, Blanchard grinding or engravingAccountable for inspection of completed mold and completion of steel checklistNotify Tool Room Manager when job has been completed and complete New Die ChecklistOperate CNC, mill, grinder, lathe, saw and EDM machineRequest necessary supplies such as carbon, cutters, components, etc.Complete time tickets for operations performed and enter into the computer at the end of shift, dailyNotify Tool Room Manager of any quality concernsStop a job when a nonconformance has been detected and notify Tool Room ManagerAccountable for assigned repair work and completion of associated repair tagsRequired Qualifications:Mold makingBlueprint readingUse of measuring equipmentMachine operationComputer knowledgeSalary Range: $37.00 - $40.00/hr.Benefits: NSI Industries offers a competitive salary, performance-based and attendance bonuses for certain roles.
