Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Office Engineer I to support a major airport infrastructure improvement program . This role is responsible for providing construction administration , document control , submittal management , and RFI coordination while supporting the project management and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate has experience on large-scale commercial or aviation construction projects and thrives in a fast-paced, active construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and track submittals , Requests for Information (RFIs) , and project documentation throughout the construction process.

• Maintain accurate document control systems, project files, logs, and electronic records using PM Web and other project management platforms.

• Coordinate the distribution, review, tracking, and timely resolution of submittals and RFIs with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.

• Prepare and maintain construction correspondence , project reports, status updates, and management documentation.

• Assist with construction management activities by supporting Project Managers, Construction Managers, Design Managers, and other project leadership.

• Create presentation materials, exhibits, and meeting documentation using electronic project files.

• Attend project meetings, prepare agendas and meeting minutes, and maintain action item and expediting logs.

• Support project scheduling, coordination, and administrative activities to help ensure successful project execution.

• Foster strong working relationships with contractors, consultants, and internal project teams through effective communication and collaboration.

• Perform additional project support duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering , Construction Management , or a related technical field.

• 5+ years of Office Engineer or construction engineering experience , preferably supporting airport , aviation, or other large commercial infrastructure projects.

• Experience supporting projects valued at $50 million or greater .

• Working knowledge of the complete design lifecycle and construction lifecycle , from planning and design through closeout.

• Experience with multiple project delivery methods including Design-Bid-Build , CMAR (Construction Manager at Risk) , and Design-Build .

• Strong understanding of construction documentation , contract administration , and industry best practices.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional organizational abilities.

Technical Skills

• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

• Bluebeam

• PM Web experience preferred

• Experience managing electronic project documentation and construction records

Preferred Certifications

The following certifications are a plus:

• PMP (Project Management Professional)

• PE (Professional Engineer)

• LEED Accreditation

• AAAE

• AICP

• Other relevant professional licenses or certifications

Work Environment

• Full-time, Monday-Friday , salaried position

• Primarily office and project site based

• This is not a remote or work-from-home position

• Occasional evening, weekend, or extended hours may be required to support project activities

• Company-issued laptop and cell phone required for project support
