TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Mount Shasta, California, 96067!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of ER experience within the last 3 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, COVID Vaccine Required Must-Have: - 2 years of Emergency Room experience Description: Unit has 11 beds/trauma bays. No Fast Track available. One triage room; travelers are expected to perform triage. No separate holding area; ER nurses manage their own holds. No separate Psych/seclusion rooms available. In-house security is present. The unit sees 20-40 patients per day. State ratios are no more than 1:4. ED Physicians and Mid-Levels include 1 MD on at all times. There is no charge nurse; a House Supervisor is available at all times. Unit techs are available from 1200 to 2030 when needed. Respiratory Therapy handles ABGs, breathing treatments, and EKGs. No monitor techs; RNs will read strips. CT and X-ray services are immediately adjacent with no transport team. Phlebotomy handles draws; RNs will draw if starting IVs. Shifts are from 1900 to 0730 for nights and 0700 to 1930 for days. Every other weekend is required. Holiday work is also expected. There may be a requirement for call or standby for up to three shifts per contract period. Floating to ICU is desirable but not required. Scrub color is navy blue. Unit-specific orientation is provided. The facility is a Critical Access Client and a Level III verified trauma center. The hospital can cancel up to four shifts per 13-week assignment. The charting system used is Cerner.
