As a healthy living coach, you are a critical component to assisting individuals with behavior change as they engage in a healthier lifestyle. Through engagement, encouragement, coaching and meaningful connections, you create the cornerstone to their success.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESUphold the mission of the YMCA, and demonstrate behaviors that reflect a determined, nurturing, genuine, hopeful, and welcoming nature.Provide courteous, prompt and sincere attention to members, guests, participants and staff.Provide Healthy Living Initiatives such as Smart Start Trainings, Youth Fitness Fundamentals, Orientations, and other member engagements initiatives.Responsible for member engagement and follow-up communication.Ensure facilities are picked up, safe and free from clutter.Give exceptional tours when necessary – share the features of the YMCA and its offeringsFoster and build strong member relationshipsServe as a role model for policies and guidelines in the wellness center.Maintain a safe, clean and functional wellness center.Replenish and maintain appropriate health and safety materials throughout the facility (hand sanitizer, paper towels, soap, disinfectant spray, etc.)POSITION REQUIREMENTSHigh school diploma or equivalent, preferred minimum Age 21+The YMCA of Greater Louisville is an equal-opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
