OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in New Bedford, MA by HMD Trucking

Requirements
- 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
- No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
- Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

- CPM $0.65 base + $0.10 CPM safety/productivity bonus
- $2,500 sign-on bonus

- Empty Miles: Paid at the same CPM as loaded miles
- Detention Pay: $15 per hour after the first 2 hours
- Layover Pay: $100 for every 24 hours
- Orientation Pay: $150
Join HMD's national dry van operations based in New Bedford, MA. This OTR solo role requires safe, professional long-haul driving to deliver freight coast-to-coast while maintaining hours-of-service and accurate trip records.
Key duties:
- Operate company dry van tractors on interstate routes, adhering to DOT and company safety standards.
- Complete pre- and post-trip inspections, report defects for prompt in-house maintenance, and keep paperwork current.
- Work with dispatch to meet delivery windows and adjust routing as needed.
Requirements & compensation:
- CDL-A and at least 12 months of verifiable experience.
- Starting pay at 65 CPM, ~2,500 weekly miles on average, plus bonuses. Modern rigs under 3 years, APUs, sleepers, biweekly home time, and full benefits.
