Senior Engineering Manager

Medtronic seeks a Senior Engineering Manager in Tempe, Arizona to lead IC design teams on next-generation cardiac rhythm management devices. The role combines technical oversight of digital IC design, verification, and design-for-test with people management, strategic planning, and hands-on engineering guidance.
Responsibilities
- Manage IC design team focused on digital design, verification, timing, and design-for-test activities
- Establish technical direction, budgets, schedules, and performance standards for assigned projects
- Provide hands-on technical leadership and mentor engineers in design methodologies and best practices
- Conduct technical briefings and meetings with internal and external stakeholders on project status
- Develop strategic plans, roadmaps, and personnel pipeline; evaluate and coach direct reports
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 7 years electrical engineering and design experience
- Minimum 5 years managerial or technical supervision experience
- Deep expertise in IC design, verification, timing, power analysis, and design for test
- Experience leading cross-functional teams on implantable device projects
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
