Registered Vascular Sonographer

Boulder Community Health is seeking a Registered Vascular Sonographer who performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams in the areas of the vascular system and assists the radiologists with procedures.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a CAAHEP- or CMA-accredited ultrasound or vascular technology program required.
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), ARDMS required.
• Must be certified in BLS by end of 90 day conditional period.
• RDMS Registry or registry eligible required.
• Prior clinical or hospital-based experience required.
• One year of experience in a vascular laboratory or clinical setting preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency across multiple vascular diagnostic procedures preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Provide quality patient care, managing daily patient schedule and exam workflow.
• Performs US exams, using good judgement in scanning, understanding all anatomical measurements, and documenting anatomy/pathology.
• Assists the Radiologists and other physicians with interpretation of exams.
• Assists the Radiologists and physicians with US guided invasive procedures.
• Transports patients to and from department or other areas within the hospital.
• Monitors and cleans US equipment, and reports equipment malfunction to biomed and the supervisor.
• Works toward the goal of quality assurance.
• Works on-call after hours.
• Handling and disposing of infectious waste appropriately.
• Uses computer information system as required.
• Coordinates clinical information and previous testing to determine if additional images or organs need to be scanned.
