What you'll do

• Service, repair, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems
• Inspect and test systems to NFPA 72 as needed
• Preventative maintenance and retrofit work
• Document your work in BuildingReports — clean, complete, same day
• Represent FPS in front of customers: professional, straight answers, done right the first time

What you bring

• 5+ years of fire alarm service and repair experience
• Multi-brand experience — Fire-Lite, Silent Knight, Notifier, Honeywell, EST, and others
• Low-voltage wiring experience on fire alarm systems (other low-voltage or electrical experience is a plus, not required)
• NICET Level I or II preferred — not required
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Valid driver's license; must pass a background check and drug test

Pay and benefits

• $30-$40+/hr, depending on experience — we'll go higher for the right technician
• $2,500 sign-on bonus for experienced technicians
• Medical through UnitedHealthcare; dental and vision also available
• 401(k) with company match
• Paid time off: 2 weeks your first year, 3 weeks in year two, 4 weeks at year six, 5 weeks at year ten
• Major holidays paid
• Your birthday off — paid
• $15,000 life insurance benefit, paid by FPS
• Take-home company truck with tools, gas card, company cell phone, and laptop
• Uniforms provided — black Nike Dri-FIT shirts, Carhartt pants, hoodies, and jackets, hats and toboggans, plus a $100/year boot allowance
• Overtime opportunities
