Real Estate Paralegal

Real Estate paralegal - Boston, MA

Responsibilities:

Paralegal will assist lawyers in all aspects of property transactions including drafting and reviewing legal documents such as contracts, leases, deeds and amendments. They conduct research on proper titles, zoning, environmental conditions, and tax matters, ensuring compliance with real estate law. Paralegal will coordinate with clients, real estate agents, lenders, and other parties to facilitate closings, prepare closing statements, and maintain accurate case files. Additional duties include managing calendars, meeting deadlines, and assisting with lease abstracts, tenant estoppels and lender consents.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in paralegal studies, or similar.
• Post-bachelor's degree paralegal certification with a real estate focus preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience as a real estate paralegal.
• Extensive knowledge of real estate documents, contracts, applications, and submissions
• Competency in legal project management software, such as Qualia, TAS/TABs.
• Familiarity with Purchase, Sale and Refinancing transactions in both residential and commercial real estate, as well as Estate/Probate work.
• Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, Excel)
• Excellent time management and verbal skills and the ability to prioritize work
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task

• Light Bookkeeping and Accounting required (wires, check deposits, bank and client account reconciliation).
