UT Physicians Family Practice – Bayshore is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic, patient-centered team. As part of a comprehensive primary care center serving children and adults, you'll work alongside experts in family medicine, psychology, psychiatry, geriatrics, sports medicine, and ambulatory services. In this role, you will provide advanced nursing care within your specialty area under the direction of a physician, contributing to a collaborative environment committed to exceptional patient outcomes and community-focused care.

Position Summary:

Provides advanced nursing care to patients in a clinical setting in an area of specialization under the direction of a physician.

Position Key Accountabilities:

• Performs relevant patient assessments and physical examinations.
• Coordinates, directs, and implements patient's plan of care.
• Orders, conducts, and interprets pertinent laboratory and diagnostic studies and procedures.
• Makes medical recommendations and/or referrals.
• Formulates, implements, and evaluates an outcome-based treatment plan.
• Maintains appropriate records detailing the patient's treatment plans and outcomes.
• Facilitates patient education relating to medical processes, medication, nutrition, and health promotion.
• Collaborates with patients, families, other clinicians, and referral services to assist in the patient's recovery.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Certification/Skills:

• None
• Registered Nurse (RN) State Licensure or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) by Texas Board of Nursing (BON) required
• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse - Nurse Practitioner (APRN-NP) by Texas Board of Nursing (BON) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) by American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Clinical specialty certification determined by the department required

Minimum Education:

• Master's Degree in Nursing as NP required Master's Degree in Nursing with completion of a post-masters Nurse Practitioner Certification Program required

Minimum Experience:

• Previous experience working in a multispecialty family practice is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
