Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of recent critical care experience for a day shift hospital position.

Details

• Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT) unit within a 396-bed hospital
• 3x12 day shift schedule, 6:45a-7:15p, with holiday rotation
• Weekend requirement every other weekend
• No on-call requirement
• Must be able to float within scope to all areas of the hospital, including labor and delivery
• No floating required to sister facilities
• Epic EMR used, experience required
• Works with adult critical care, emergency department, pediatric critical care, and pediatrics populations
• Performs ventilator management, ABG interpretation, airway management, intubation/extubation assistance, and tracheostomy care
• Administers a range of respiratory medications including bronchodilators, inhaled steroids, and nitric oxide

Requirements

• Active RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential through NBRC required, CRT not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent critical care experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required, all in hand at time of start
• South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) license required, license must be in hand at time of start if applicable
• Prior travel assignment experience required, first-time travelers not accepted
• Epic charting experience required
• Social Security Number required for consideration

Additional Information

• Scrub color is Caribbean Blue
• Free parking available on-site
• During hurricane season (June through November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
• Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are not accepted
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for facility approval
