Trillium Professional is now seeking a Field Service Engineer for direct-hire placement!

Schedule is Monday–Friday, generally 1st Shift (based on customer need). There is a minimum 25% travel. Pay rate is $30–$38/hour for qualified candidates.

A globally leading manufacturer of equipment and complete production systems is looking for a Field Service Engineer to join their North American team. This is a direct hire opportunity offering long-term stability, strong technical exposure, and the opportunity to work with advanced automated systems used across multiple industries.

The Field Service Engineer will handle new equipment installations, on-site troubleshooting, and technical support for electric press and automated part handling systems. These machines integrate electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components — requiring a hands-on professional who can diagnose issues, execute repairs, and ensure optimal system performance in production environments.

Travel is primarily throughout the United States, with a minimum of 25% travel required. Candidates must also have the ability to travel internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Travel throughout the U.S. to support customer sites
• Interface directly with customers to assess and resolve equipment issues
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Perform repairs and restore equipment to operational condition
• Monitor system performance to confirm successful resolution
• Install and commission new equipment
• Train customer personnel on system operation and maintenance
• Document all service activity and maintain safe work practices

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Mechatronics or related field preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Strong troubleshooting background across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Solid understanding of CNC equipment and electrical controls
• Ability to read and interpret hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently in field environments
• Ability to travel internationally
• Valid driver's license
