## Overview This is a wonderful opportunity for a pediatric emergency medicine physician to join a well-established specialty practice (PEMA) and be based in the Emergency Departments of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. The primary site is at the Scottish Rite Hospital, located in northern Atlanta, GA., with a secondary location at the new Arthur M Blank Hospital. Additionally, you will work a few shifts each month in the Wellstar Health System's suburban pediatric emergency departments. ## Practice Info Practice pediatric emergency medicine at Scottish Rite Hospital: 59-bed emergency department with 102,000 annual visits The busiest Level II ACS-certified pediatric trauma center in the US A full complement of pediatric subspecialty services Opportunities to participate in resident education, sedation medicine, clinical research, and hospital leadership Practice pediatric emergency medicine at Arthur M Blank Hospital: 69-bed emergency department with 100,000 annual visits Level 1 ACS-certified pediatric trauma center Home of the Emory Pediatric residency and Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship programs Wellstar Health System: Four pediatric emergency departments with a combined annual volume of 60,000 visits The system's flagship hospital at Wellstar Kennestone is home to the 12-bed pediatric unit (KPU), a 6 -bed PICU, emergency medicine and family medicine residency programs, and expanding pediatric subspecialty support. ## Responsibilities Provide patient care within the respective clinical areas which complies with the Professional Staff Bylaws, rules and regulations, policies, and procedures of requisite hospitals Participate in and incorporates Quality Improvement and research findings into practice Maintain accurate and complete medical records in a timely and acceptable manner Participate in meetings/activities as required to support the business and clinical operations of PEMA Participate in meetings/activities as required to support the emergency department's clinical operations Participate in activities that enhance professional development ## Compensation • Incentive based clinical compensation based upon wRVU's generated • Listed compensation is exclusive of the employer funded benefits • Minimum Hourly guarantee • Semi-annual bonus to reward clinical productivity and nonclinical, scholarly pursuits • Overnight and on call stipends ## Benefits Employer Funded Full Family Health Insurance Malpractice Insurance with no tail liability 401k Retirement Plan Health Savings Account Employee Expense Allowance Short-Term Disability Plan Dental and Vision Insurance Options ## Shift & Schedule • 15 clinical shifts monthly • 9 hours per shift • 1 call shift monthly • Fair and equitable distribution of holidays, nights and weekends • Immense scheduling flexibility ## Requirements Board eligible/certified in pediatric emergency medicine and licensed to practice medicine in the state of Georgia Meets eligibility criteria for credentialing as part of the medical staff for requisite hospitals Current DEA registration.
