Merchandising Specialist

Overview The Merchandising Specialist will keep the front sales floor/showroom area stocked, fronted, and clean. The Specialist will also complete sales preparations, greet customers on the sales floor, and ensure the retail showroom presents a professional and inviting appearance. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Essential Job Functions Greet customers on the sales floor and assist them in locating merchandise or direct them to a parts specialist if hard parts are needed. Check in, price, and put up stock. Keep merchandise on the display floor fronted, full, and assist with O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities on a daily basis. Change displays according to company guidelines. Update planograms. Complete price label changes and ensure “sale” signs are in place. Remove all sale material when a sale ends and restore original pricing. Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns. Work with the manager to complete weekly inventory and merchandising tasks. Occasionally serve as a cashier or drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries when business needs dictate (driving record must meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements). Perform any other duties as assigned. Skills, Education, Knowledge, Experience & Abilities Required: Strong organizational skills. Required: Ability to clearly read, write, and match numbers and letters from various sources. Required: Basic computer skills. Required: Must be able to work well with others in a team environment. Desired: Previous stocking experience. Desired: Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle. Desired: Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
