CDR ProSource is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Industrial Sewe r for a full-time position in Niles, MI. The ideal candidate will have experience operating sewing machines, working with heavy-duty fabrics, and producing high-quality sewn products. Candidates with home sewing experience who are willing to learn are also encouraged to apply.

• Location: Niles, MI

• Pay Rate: $16.00–$17.00 per hour

• Job Type: Full-Time

• Work Environment: Industrial Sewing / Manufacturing

• Experience: Previous sewing experience preferred; training available for qualified candidates.

• Assessment: In-person sewing test required.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate industrial sewing machines to sew and assemble canvas covers for carts.

• Measure, cut, and assemble fabrics according to patterns, templates, and specifications.

• Perform hemming, binding, top-stitching, and seam reinforcement on fabric covers.

• Sew rectangular covers with four sides and a top.

• Read and interpret work orders, measurements, and sewing patterns.

• Use handheld crimping tools to attach snaps to fabric covers.

• Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and consistency.

• Collaborate with production team members to ensure proper fit and finish.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of industrial sewing or upholstery experience preferred.

• Candidates with home sewing experience are welcome to apply and must successfully complete an in-person sewing test.

• Familiarity with heavy-duty fabrics, canvas, and industrial sewing techniques.

• Ability to accurately read tape measures, sewing patterns, and fabrication specifications.

• Experience with hemming, binding, stitching, and fabric assembly preferred.

• Strong attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and manual dexterity.

• Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.

• Dependable attendance and willingness to learn.
