Vehicle Supply Technician

Overview Vehicle Supply Technician is responsible for fueling, cleaning and stocking ambulances, receiving medical, cleaning and shop supplies, and inventorying and stocking medical supply closets at AOC, ambulance stations and ambulance sub stations. Responsibilities Demonstrates complete knowledge, understanding and compliance of company policies and procedures. On a daily basis ensures that assigned vehicles are prepared for use by field crews, including: Fully fueling ambulances. Cleaning exterior and interior of ambulances, including disinfecting equipment. Stocking ambulances with appropriate medical equipment and supplies. Completing deep cleaning and decontamination of ambulances per SOP. Maintains security of vehicles, buildings, equipment, medications and company property. Performs daily inspections of work area for cleanliness; performs housekeeping duties as needed. Assists operations management in inventorying, ordering, receiving, stocking and issuing medical, office and shop equipment and supplies. Adheres to Universal Precautions / Body Substance Isolation and Infection Control policies. Maintains security and privacy of all confidential and proprietary company and patient information in accordance with HIPAA and company policy. Acts at all times with personal safety in mind and ensures the safety of others. Performs other duties as directed by management. Qualifications High degree of personal integrity and responsibility. High School Diploma or GED. Currently licensed with a state motor vehicle operator’s license. Clean driving record approved by company vehicle liability insurer. Successfully complete a CEVO Ambulance driver safety classroom and practical course. Successfully complete a CPR course by the AHA or other appropriate organization within 30 days of hire. Successfully complete a First Aid course by the ARC or other appropriate organization within 30 days of hire. Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and use good judgment. Physical Requirements Ability to reach, push and pull. Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time. Ability to walk up and down stairs without difficulty. Ability to bend, stoop, squat and kneel for long periods of time. Ability to walk a distance of one quarter of a mile without difficulty. Ability to complete all job duties during any and all hours of the day and night. Ability to lift and maneuver 150 pounds without difficulty.
