Makpar has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Data Engineer. This role requires expertise in Databricks, SQL, and ETL pipelines , with strong experience building scalable data frameworks to support enterprise decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, test, and maintain enterprise-scale data pipelines.
• Develop and optimize ETL processes, data structures, and database solutions.
• Create SQL queries, reports, and dashboards to support business needs.
• Automate workflows using Databricks Workflows and Jobs API.
• Support code deployment and integration through CI/CD best practices.
• Perform data validation, troubleshooting, and quality assurance activities.
• Collaborate closely with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver scalable and secure data solutions.

Qualifications:

• Active Secret clearance is mandatory.
• 7+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering.
• Expert-level proficiency in Databricks, Apache Spark, and SQL.
• Strong Python and SQL development skills.
• Experience with ETL technologies such as Kafka, Airflow, and AWS Glue.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub/GitLab version control.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills.
• Local residency in Maryland, Virginia, or Washington, DC.

Clearance Requirement:

• Active Secret clearance (mandatory requirement).
