We are seeking an experienced certified veterinary technician to join our team and become part of our dynamic practice. Responsibilities: - Administer medications and treatments - Oversee basic preventive care appointments - Triage urgent care patients and assist veterinarian in sick patient workup and treatment - Run in-house diagnostics and prep samples for referral laboratories - Patient sample collection, venipuncture - Dental cleaning - Radiology - Coordinate prescription refills - Surgical/anesthesia monitoring - Client education and communication - Clerical/operations (general administrative duties like answering phones, receiving packages, emailing medical records and general housekeeping) Requirements: - Degree in veterinary technology (or equivalent) (certification preferred but not required) - Veterinary experience (2 years minimum) - Excellent verbal communication skills - Actively engaged in learning new skills - Able to learn software systems (including electronic medical records systems) - Ability to handle and work in a busy environment - Interest in exotics is a must, experience with exotics is a plus!
