Mobile Diesel Technician

Perform repairs and inspections on a variety of Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, including brakes, diagnostics, A/C systems, electrical systems, engine components, exhaust systems, after-treatment systems, lift-gates, and tires Schedule and oversee all maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance and DOT inspections Repair or replace vehicle and trailer components Open and close repair orders on a company-issued device Obtain parts from local vendors and manage inventory on the service truck Accurately complete DOT forms and other documentation in a timely manner Provide on-site truck and trailer maintenance and repairs at customer locations Requirements Minimum of 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience preferred Communication skills Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including weekends and holidays when needed Valid Driver’s License required Self-motivated with excellent organization and planning skills Ability to utilize a computer/tablet for electronic processing of work orders, including adding labor hours and updating work order statuses 2 years of experience in performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections 2 years of experience in truck/trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of experience and education Basic computer skills Must possess proper tools High School education or equivalent Certifications are a plus Welding experience CDL, a plus Ability to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation Ability to work outdoors and under extreme weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and humidity Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in diesel and trailer repair, including diagnostics, maintenance, and inspections, while effectively managing repair orders and inventory. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for providing on-site maintenance and ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.
