Head of News Publisher Partnerships, TikTok Operations Location: New York Employment Type: Regular Job Code: A218313 Responsibilities Identify strategic opportunities for News Publishers and key platform goals, translating them into actionable initiatives that align with both publisher business models and the building of a healthy ecosystem on TikTok. Build and lead a high‑performing team of News Publisher Partner Managers. Cultivate and maintain C‑Suite and Director‑level relationships across the top global news accounts (Broadcasters, Digital Natives, and Print/Legacy News). Drive News content strategies aligned with product priorities, partnering closely with Product and Operations teams to support product adoption. Set team OKRs, metrics, and success measures, leveraging data to evaluate performance, optimise partner programs, and inform decision‑making. Build strong relationships with cross‑functional teams (e.g., Comms, GR, Trust & Safety, Legal) to build consistent company‑wide frameworks for publisher programs and engagement. Qualifications 5+ years of relevant experience in the media industry, digital partnerships, or content strategy, ideally with a focus on the News industry in the U.S. Deep understanding and proven track record of navigating the U.S. and global news landscape with established relationships at major news organizations and with industry stakeholders. Experience building, managing, and leading high‑performing teams, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross‑functional stakeholders. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills, with a data‑driven approach to decision‑making. Compensation The base salary range for this position in New York is $189,800 – $384,000 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognise employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
