Territory Sales Manager

We have partnered with a leading provider of supply chain, food safety, agricultural, risk management, and consumer research solutions across the food, beverage, ingredient, and CPG industries. They’re looking for a Territory Sales Director to join their Consumer & Sensory Research team. This is a high-impact individual contributor role focused on helping CPG, ingredient, and QSR brands better understand their consumers and bring stronger products to market. What You'll Do: Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through close Build and manage a target account list across CPG, food & beverage, ingredient, and QSR companies Develop new business and expand existing accounts through larger research projects and cross-selling opportunities Partner with research and insights teams to develop customized consumer and sensory research solutions Present proposals, negotiate pricing, and work directly with executive stakeholders and procurement teams Maintain a strong pipeline and accurately forecast through Salesforce Represent Matrix Sciences at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events What We’re Looking For: 3+ years selling consumer research, sensory research, market research, or insights services to CPG clients Strong network within CPG innovation, R&D, consumer insights, or marketing Proven hunter with experience generating new business and managing complex sales cycles Track record of consistently hitting or exceeding quota Comfortable selling consultatively to senior-level decision-makers Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Sensory Science, Consumer Research, Marketing, or a related field preferred Compensation: $125K+ Base | $175K-$200K OTE at Plan The compensation plan includes 5% commission on the first $1M and 10% thereafter, creating significant upside for a strong hunter.
