Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DoD Sexual Assault Program Workforces to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The Supervisory Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (Principal) (SAR WF) serves as the principal authority, strategic advisor and advocate to the Senior Commander for the Command's Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) Program. - Act as the principal authority, strategic advisor, and advocate for the Sexual Harassment/ Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) Program and victims of sexual harassment, sexual assault, and associated retaliatory behaviors for the Commander.
- Manage a Corps level SHARP Program servicing Soldiers and Family members, as well as Department of Army Civilians.
- Administer the SHARP program to maintain a workplace environment that rejects sexual harassment and sexual assault and attitudes that promote such behaviors.
- Formulate Command SHARP directives, prevention, education, and SHARP reporting and compliance requirements.
- Oversee, manage, and establish procedural guidance for the SHARP hotline.
- Support the commander with prevention activities, response coordination, case management, victim advocacy and training management.
- Exercise the full range of supervisory duties for a diverse population.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- The duties of this position require background checks to be conducted against all records as required by law, OPM, DoD, and Army policy and regulation.
- Incumbent is required to self-report civilian arrests, the filing of criminal charges, and/or convictions of any criminal offense to their supervisors and security office.
- This position requires the incumbent to attend and graduate from all required SHARP training courses within six (6) months of employment.
- Incumbent must obtain and maintain the DoD Sexual Assault Advocate Certification Program (D-SAACP) and up-to-date commander appointment orders prior to having any victim contact or access to victim information.
- The duties of this position may require the incumbent to be on call 24 hours a day, seven days to execute position responsibilities based on the needs of the organization.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License.
- This position may require temporary duty (TDY) business travel up to 15% of the time.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- This position requires a 1 year probationary period during which the agency evaluates your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest. In making this determination, the agency may consider your performance and conduct; agency needs and interests; whether your continued employment supports organizational or Government goals; and whether it promotes the efficiency of the Federal service. Continued employment requires written certification that it advances the public interest.
