Core Responsibilities of a Deputy Transition Manager1. Transition LeadershipRuns the day‑to‑day transition activities across a set of service towers / workstreams in support of the Tower Leaders and overarching Transition Manager.Ensures tasks, milestones, and deliverables are completed on schedule.Coordinates technical leads, SMEs, and workstream owners.2. Service Scope OwnershipOwns the detailed transitioning scope for the assigned portfolio of servicesEnsures each service component is transitioned according to contract and design.Tracks scope changes and ensures alignment with governance.3. Detailed Planning & ExecutionResponsible to guide workstream leaders through the builds and maintenance of the workstream transition schedule beneath the master plan.Ensures dependencies between teams are identified and managed.Drives readiness assessments, cutover tasks, and stabilization activities.4. Risk, Issue & Dependency ControlMonitors risks and issues daily and drives mitigation actions.Escalates when necessary, keeping the Transition Manager informed.Ensures cross‑tower dependencies are understood and resolved.5. Knowledge Transfer OversightDrives development of Knowledge Management plans (KA Discovery, KA Run, Shadow, Reverse Shadow)Ensures KT sessions, shadowing, reverse shadowing, and documentation updates happen on time.Validates that receiving teams are ready for steady‑state operations.6. Stakeholder & Team CoordinationActs as the primary coordinator for internal delivery teams.Supports the Transition Manager in client meetings, reporting, and governance.Steps in as acting Transition Manager when required.7.
