Position Overview Saving Our Way is seeking a creative and motivated Social Media & Marketing Intern to support our digital presence, educational content, and community outreach. This internship is ideal for a student interested in social media management, content creation, marketing, communications, blogging, or community engagement. The intern will gain hands-on experience managing content across multiple platforms while learning about couponing, budgeting, rebates, and money-saving strategies. Responsibilities Help manage Saving Our Way’s Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn pages. Plan, create, schedule, and publish engaging social media content. Design infographics, promotional graphics, flyers, and other visual materials. Create short-form videos and Reels highlighting deals, couponing tips, workshops, and Saving Our Way resources. Write and publish professional, informative blogs for the Saving Our Way website. Research current store deals, digital coupons, rebates, and smart-shopping strategies. Help maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across platforms. Assist with creating marketing materials, presentations, and promotional campaigns. Help promote Saving Our Way classes, workshops, events, and community initiatives. Attend select Saving Our Way events and workshops to assist with content creation, photography, video, promotion, and event support. Monitor social media engagement and help identify opportunities to grow the Saving Our Way audience. Collaborate with Saving Our Way leadership on additional marketing and communications projects. Preferred Qualifications Current college student or recent graduate studying marketing, communications, public relations, digital media, graphic design, business, or a related field. Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills. Interest in social media, content creation, blogging, and digital marketing. Comfortable using or willing to learn Canva and social media scheduling tools. Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Reels, and short-form video content. Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate consistently. Willing to learn about couponing, rebates, budgeting, and smart-shopping strategies. Photography, video-editing, website, or graphic-design experience is helpful but not required. Ability to attend select in-person events and workshops in San Antonio. Hybrid internship with both virtual and in-person responsibilities. Flexible, part-time schedule based on organizational needs and the intern’s availability. This is an unpaid internship. College credit is available when approved by the intern’s college or university. Saving Our Way can assist with required internship documentation.
