Responsibilities As a personal banker you will: Build rapport with clients, understand their needs, and provide solutions. Open new accounts, onboard new relationships, originate loans and lines, and refer to partners to meet additional needs. Make out-of‑office business development calls to businesses, community organizations, and referral sources. Adhere to bank policies and procedures designed to comply with federal regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act and OFAC regulations. Reflect the core values and ethics of WaFd Bank, including integrity, teamwork, ownership, simplicity, discipline, service and kindness. Qualifications Education, Skills and Training: High school diploma or approved equivalent. Good math skills, 10‑key and keyboarding. Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, Teams, PowerBI and Outlook. Well‑developed smartphone and digital channel skills. Excellent organizational and analytical skills with superior written and oral communication skills. Ability to demonstrate how to use automated technology to teach clients self‑service skills. Valid driver’s license, satisfactory transportation and adequate insurance coverage. Experience: Prior banking experience, including familiarity with lending, previous work in retail, consumer service delivery, or client relations.
