Position Summary The LVN provides direct patient care and a broad range of administrative and clinical support that ensures effective clinical operations on a daily basis. Key duties include phlebotomy, EKG, application of orthopedic supplies, administration of vaccines, and IV starts. The LVN also participates in patient chart reviews, inventory management, and infection control activities. Responsibilities Perform phlebotomy, EKG, and administer vaccines and IVs within scope of practice. Apply orthopedic supplies, assist with procedures and maintain a sterile field. Obtain vital signs, conduct visual acuity checks, and act as patient attendant. Support staff in chart reviews, inventory, equipment maintenance, and administrative tasks. Assist in infection control activities and participate in staff meetings and committees. Education High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. Completion of an accredited vocational nurse program. Licenses / Certifications Completed accredited vocational nurse program. BLS certified and capable of performing CPR. Current Vocational Nurse License and CPR certification. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of immunization schedules and injection administration techniques. Fundamentals of asepsis, sterile techniques, basic bacteriology, and infection control. Medical terminology and clinical protocol usage. Experience working with physicians, nurses, and patients in a medical back‑office setting. Strong communication skills, confidentiality, and compliance with FERPA/HIPAA regulations. Proficiency with electronic health records, MS Office Suite, and patient care software. Preferred Qualifications CPT/Phlebotomy certification. IV certification. Salary & Benefits Hourly range: $45.15 (Step 1.0) – $49.94 (Step 6.0). 60–100%, full‑time (24–40 hours per week), career position eligible for full UC benefits. Non‑exempt, paid bi‑weekly.
