The COO will provide oversight of Catholic Charities' programs, including but not limited to Self-Sufficiency & Housing, Children's Learning Center, Educational Opportunity, Senior Services, Refugee Support, Immigration and Citizenship Legal Assistance, Administration, IT & Facilities, and Human Resources. The COO will ensure the organization efficiently delivers its programs and services while assisting each program with financial planning. The COO manages resources effectively and maintains compliance with regulations of each program, policies and the agency safety while supporting the CEO's strategic vision and the organization's mission. **PRIORITY GIVEN TO IN-STATE APPLICANTS**What We're Looking For:Have the ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse clients, staff, and community partnersExperience working with agencies serving vulnerable populations Be passionate about serving others to improve lives and create opportunitiesFoster a sense of community, collaboration, and excellent delivery of servicesSeeks to proudly represent and advocate for the agency's services, clients, and employeesKey Responsibilities and Duties:Responsible for the oversight of all operational aspects of the organization, including program delivery, logistics, facilities management, and technology infrastructure.Oversee the development, execution, and evaluation of the organization's programs and services to ensure they align with the agency's mission and deliver positive outcomes to beneficiaries.Manages the allocation of resources, including budgeting, financial planning, and resource optimization, to support the organization's programs and strategic objectives.Identify opportunities for streamlining internal processes, improving efficiency, and implementing best practices to enhance the organization's effectiveness.Supervises and supports various teams and departments within the organization, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and performance excellence.Assess and mitigate operational risks, such as legal compliance, financial stability, and cybersecurity, to ensure the organization's sustainability and reputation.Managing technology systems, infrastructure, and data management is crucial for modern operations, and oversees these areas to support the organization's needs.Collaborates closely with the CEO and the board of directors to implement the organization's strategic plan and provide operational insights and recommendations.Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting mechanisms to monitor the organization's progress and impact, ensuring transparency and accountability.Ensures that the organization adheres to relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in its operations.Engagement with stakeholders, including staff, volunteers, beneficiaries, donors, and partners, is important to maintain strong relationships and support the organization's mission.Be prepared to respond to crises or emergencies and ensure business continuity, especially during challenging times. Plans, direct, controls, implements, evaluates, monitors, and forecasts budgets and cost of program and services to achieve financial objectives. Communicates and explains new directives, policies, or procedures to Directors/Managers; for major changes, meets with entire operations staff to explain changes, answer questions, and maintain morale.Improve customer service and satisfaction through policy and procedural changes. Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications RequiredExperience:Minimum of 4 years' direct experience in budget preparation, preferably in a non-profit agency.Minimum of 4 years' experience in supervision required.Minimum of 3 years' managing grants required with experience in tracking, optimizing, and reporting outcomes with federal grant management preferred.Advanced computer competency in MS Office and Windows.Must have a valid driver's license in good standing, proof of insurance, and ability to travel locally as requiredMust be able to pass a comprehensive background check Education:Master's degree in management, education, social work, counseling, accounting, finance, business, public administration OR a satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience.Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.Must pass a state-enforced background check.
